About the Course

This course establishes a foundation in family engagement for those working in GEAR UP programs. Engaging families is a core aspect of GEAR UP programming and critical to unlocking student achievement.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: 

• Define family engagement as it relates to your grant.
• Understand the benefit of family involvement programs on student achievement.
• Explain barriers to family engagement.
• Discover a variety of strategies for engaging families.

This course should take you approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

Certificate

To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete the course and pass the assessment with an 80% or higher. You will have two retake opportunities.
