About the Course

This course establishes a foundational understanding of college readiness and identification of effective strategies. Participants will apply an evaluation model to GEAR UP programs and services to ensure effective implementation and to measure achievements and identify areas for improvements.


Upon completion of this course, you will be able to

  • Explain the components of college and career readiness.
  • Identify strategies for supporting students’ college and career readiness skills.
  • Develop a needs assessment to use for strategic planning.
  • Apply an evaluation model to programs and services to assess achievements and identify areas for improvement.

Timing
This course should take you approximately 1.5 hours to complete.


Certificate

To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete the course and pass the assessment with an 80% or higher. You will have two retake opportunities.
